“FORGOTTEN FOLKSONGS FROM MICHIGAN”

In 1938, Alan Lomax came to Michigan to record the ballads of the lumbermen,the Great Lakes schoonermen, and the Great Depression for the Library of Congress.

The program runs about 90 minutes and will feature Lee Murdock, a performer of Great lakes ballads, as well as historic color film and audio clips.
