Heritage Days Video

Established in 1671, St. Ignace is more than 346 years old.    Whether you are a life-long resident, have relocated away from this area, or an occasional visitor,
St. Ignace carries your spirit here and you are considered part of our community.

We invite you to attend a celebration of its heritage, which began with the founding of St. Ignace by Jesuit missionary
Fr. Jacques Marquette in 1671.  Several cultures have contributed to the rich history and development of St. Ignace, which includes the Ojibwa, Wendat (Huron), and Odawa tribes, French explorers and traders, English settlers and American entrepreneurs.

Workshops, authors, music, dancers, demonstrations, teaching and much more are available at Fort de Buade Museum and the Museum of Ojibwa Culture during this event.

A full schedule will be available soon.
