The Historic Totem VillageThe Historic Totem Village
The Historic Totem Village
Ron Daniels was born in St.Ignace and ran a carpentry shop in Pt. Charlotte, Florida. He moved back and was happy to create a unique place to showcase local artist wares. It’s not an ordinary gift shop, but is filled with curiosities and unique items for sale, display relics and regalia. Beth Edwards, Ron’s partner and assistant, is also offering horseback riding lessons. They both look forward to creating a great Native American culture and history experience for you when you come to The Historic Totem Village.
Totem Village was established in 1948 has a deep history that keeps families coming back generation after generation for native culture. Re-opened as The Historic Totem Village, visitors enjoy learning to tie prayer ties and Ron is always happy to offer his traditional knowledge. They are like Totem Village groupies*
There are BIG plans for The Historic Totem Village, including live artist exhibits, performance and dance, craft classes and an interpretive village. “We are feeling blessed to join the great activities in St.Ignace!”
