The park has 275 modern campsites that feature electricity, fire rings and picnic tables, and fifteen semi-modern non-electric waterfront sites. There are four modern toilet buildings with showers and two sanitation stations. We have a view of the Mackinac Bridge and are 1/2 mile from the ferries that travel to and from Mackinac Island. The Soo Locks and Tahquamenon Falls are just one hour away and the Father Marquette Memorial is located in the Straits State Park.

Two tours offered, a 6 1/2-hour train and boat tour to the Tahquamenon Falls or a 2-hour Wilderness Train Ride. The Museum’s slogan is: “Where the history of snowmobiling comes to Life”. When you walk through the door you are instantly transformed back in time to the era of snowmobiling when it first began, to the era of the sports machine, when there were over 200 manufacturers, to the racing era. You will also find an amazing amount of memorabilia that goes along with the snowmobiles and their history. You will see dealer signs hanging from the ceiling, helmets, suits, and gloves that grandpa wore. You can also purchase unique snowmobile related items and books from the gift shop. There are 180+ machines on display. Admission is $5 for adults and kids 16 & under are free. Open daily: 9-5.
