Grand Opening of the Gros Cap Trail
The St. Ignace Ranger District of the US Forest Service invites you to the Grand Opening of the Gros Cap Trail on Saturday June 22 at 11am. They will kick-off the celebration with a brief ceremony followed by a talk by retired USFS Archaeologist John Franzen. Then, hikers will be invited to explore the trails on their own or join with Forest Service employees to learn more about history, plants, trees, or birds.
The trail is 2.2 miles long and has 3 loops.
The Forest Service is located approximately 6 miles west on US-2.
