We are traveling to St. Ignace!!!

Please join Community-Up September 4th and 5th as we travel to St. Ignace Michigan to discuss Economic Development techniques for rural and agricultural areas.  We will explore some of the new conversations happening in Washington DC and bring you the opinions from the experts on Water and Wastewater Infrastructure and how can rebuild and improve our water infrastructure for rural communities. Investing in infrastructure creates jobs, improves the economy of local communities and the qualify of life for rural residents.

We will also talk about how BROADBAND is imperative to the success of rural and agricultural businesses helping them to stay competitive in today’s market.

The USDA will join us to discuss Rural Business Development Loan Guarantees and Rural Broadband Access Loans.   USDA Rural Development provides loans and grants to help expand economic opportunities and create jobs in rural areas. This assistance supports infrastructure improvements; business development; housing; community facilities such as schools, public safety and health care; and high-speed internet access in rural areas.
