Join us Thursday, June 16th at 5PM to discuss the 2008 Chris Cleave dual narrative novel of immigration, connection and friendship. The story presents a tale of a precarious friendship between an illegal Nigerian refugee and a recent widow from suburban London, a story told from the alternating and disparate perspectives of both women. Cleave’s book has been the recipient of numerous accolades for its sensitivity and nuanced depictions of human relationships, cultural transitions and human resilience.
